Dear Partners and Friends of Hope House,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Much like the growth of a baby, Hope House is experiencing change. I am writing to inform you of a big change that will take place as of January 1, 2013.
As you know, we have been a part of the Women’s Choice Network (WCN) since 2010, when our center opened in McKeesport. That partnership made it possible to establish a presence in our community, where we were able to reach out to many women and give support.
In the past 6 months, WCN has done a review of its centers and ministry focus as a whole. The WCN Board has prayerfully decided to separate from Hope House and release us to continue our ministry in the McKeesport Area.
Our ministry of hope will continue independently under Sonshine Community Ministries, as we seek the Lord’s direction in our next steps of outreach in McKeesport.
If you have been a faithful supporter of Hope House, giving directly to Sonshine Community Ministries, we thank you! We pray you will continue to do so.
If your financial support of Hope House has been directly to WCN, please be aware that Hope House will not benefit from your donation, nor will your donation be redirected. Both WCN and Hope House are standing for life in our communities, so please prayerfully consider how the Lord may want you to continue your support. Our desire is to make you aware of this change before it takes place.
Your support has helped us to celebrate the birth of 16 babies, see 2 clients accept Christ, conduct several parenting classes, sustain a committed staff of well-trained volunteers and to develop countless relationships with the women of McKeesport. We hope to celebrate our 2nd anniversary in January.
If you have any questions, we would be happy to discuss these changes with you, as well as how you can be involved at both Hope House and Sonshine.
McKeesport is an area that desperately needs the message of Hope and Life. We remain committed to following the Lord’s leading in reaching out to the McKeesport community.
